Holy cow. It’s done and we did it. I was so inspired by this project and I’m still in awe, looking back over the transformation herunterladen. I love DIY projects because you’re never quite sure what you’re getting yourself into. Although that might strike anxiety and panic in some people, I figured, “what’s the worst that could happen?” To be totally honest, I had not even seen a photo of the trailer before we ventured to Colorado, where this little guy was, and currently is, with Katy videos cutting chip download for free. This is a project I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I’m so glad to share the process.
Day One: Demo Day herunterladen. Also known as, the most fun day. Seriously, when they show demo day on HGTV, it’s nothing compared to how fun it actually is in real life.
Sealing holes, fixing water damage, pulling pipes and electric out…
… And after we painted, it was so glaringly obvious how hideous the floor was herunterladen. Someone remind me of how awful I thought it was if this gold-flected wonder ever comes back into style.
We made a built-in bed but left the top right and left squares open for storage herunterladen.
We also reused most all of the wood that was originally in the trailer herunterladen. The custom cabinets were once a combination of the bed and the old closet. The shelving, and most of the bench and side table were a couple pieces from the Restore, and the counter top was from an old table that Katy and I bought when we were in Vermont for $4 that we originally used as our desk herunterladen.
Matthew, I love the cabinets tabellen zumen.
And the flooring… I love it so much websiteen als pdf. Thanks so much to Dalton Carpet One for the beautiful flooring and the subway tile wie kann man sachen auf netflix herunterladen.
Matthew also made the sink out of a galvanized bucket. Isn’t it cute?
Thank you guys for everything you do and did for this project.

Bethany - I LOVE this camper make over! It’s my favorite one that I have come across (and I have spent hours looking for inspiration!). The trailer that we had purchased a few years ago ended up having way more water damage than we had realized. It had been “covered up” by a bad wall paper job. My husband and I decided to gut the entire thing-rip out the unused bathroom, cupboards, etc. Our plan is to have a bright and airy place very similar to what you have done. All within in a budget. We sold old parts from the trailer (to pay for anything new)and purchased needed supplies from an recycle/architectural supply place. We have a few more weeks to finish. Thank you for sharing your great project. It’s just what we have been looking for. Where did you get the fabric for the curtains? I hope you have many years of fun in this little gem!
sheandiphotography - Hi Bethany!
Congratulations! That’s so exciting that you’re doing your own. Make sure to send me photos when you’re done– I’d love to see! I got the curtain fabric at Joanns but I also make custom curtains if you’re interested! Let me know if you need any more help/advice!

Nick Mantia - This looks absolutely fantastic!
sheandiphotography - Hey Kel!
Thanks so much! The camper is a Shasta and ours was given to us by a friend (I think at some point, someone paid someone $100). Anyway, a good place to look would be the Craigslist in your area and possibly (which I’ve recently heard), Ebay. I would say make sure there aren’t any major leaks and the electric works, as well as the running lights and make sure the title is available (or something you could get). Other than that, go with your gut. I personally would look around a bit in your area and see what the older campers are selling for and go from there!
Let me know if you need anymore help! I’m also in the process of starting an Etsy shop with custom curtains and other items so make sure to check back if you’re interested!
lisa Cuddy - I’m looking for an old trailer to redo. Not sure hubby is too excited to redo a trailer, I’m the handy one, but I’d really like a blank slate so I don’t have to deal with all that ugly plywood panelling and ugly, ugly fabric. Plus, I’d like to make the space more open like you guys did. Love the all whiteness of it! Thanks for posting something so inspirational. Happy trails
Christina // The Murrayed Life - Wow!! What an AMAZING transformation. I love everything about it! It gets me all inspired to do it ourselves, but really, this kind of stuff intimidates me to no end. But I’m sure it’s SO worth it!
